We are seeking a collaborative UI/UX Designer to join our team, working alongside the UX design team, product managers, business analysts, and engineers. In this role, you will contribute to user-centered design decisions for the Front-End Design System and React Component Library. You’ll be involved in various aspects of the UX design process, with strong emphasis on developing skills in research, design, and facilitation activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- A creative, user-centered design professional who is comfortable working across research, design, and collaboration activities.
- Someone with a passion for delivering high-quality user experience and contributing to design systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts.
- Experience working in an agile environment, balancing multiple projects while maintaining design consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Prototyping: Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to define and improve the user experience for new components and features in the React Component Library.
- Design Culture and Collaboration: Actively participate in design critiques, team meetings, and training sessions to foster a positive design culture, while continuing to develop and refine your UX skills.
- User Research: Assist in user research activities such as design workshops, user testing, and analysis to gain valuable insights into user needs and behaviors and apply findings to inform design decisions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure designs are accurately implemented, tested, and deliver an exceptional final product experience.
- Design System Contribution: Learn and apply client’s UX guidelines and standards, contributing to the evolution and consistency of the Front-End Design System.
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing React or similar component-based frameworks.
- Familiarity with design systems and understanding their importance in maintaining consistency and scalability.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript or front-end development to better collaborate with developers.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and how to incorporate them into designs.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Tools & Technologies:
- Sketch: For designing user interfaces and creating prototypes.
- Figma: A collaborative design tool for real-time interface design and prototyping.
- Adobe XD: Used for designing and prototyping user experiences for web and mobile applications.
- InVision: A digital product design platform for prototyping and collaboration.
- Miro: An online collaborative whiteboarding platform to visualize and plan user experiences.
